Shailesh Patil

Shailesh Patil studied computer science and engineering and through trying to solve mechanical engineering problems developed an interest in programming mathematical models and algorithms. He moved to England after completing his degree at the University of Mumbai, and started working in the financial sector in London. After several years working with object-oriented programming, he took a step back to think about system complexity and found that Scala was the way to move forward. He joined IOHK in 2018 and is keen to work with Haskell as well. Shailesh enjoys running and drinking coffee at any time of the day.
