Christian Badertscher

Christian Badertscher studied for a master’s in computer science at ETH Zurich, and obtained his PhD in 2018, working with the cryptography and information security research group under the supervision of Professor Ueli Maurer. Christian's research focus is provable security of protocols and the formal study of cryptographic building blocks relevant to the design of secure IT infrastructures. After his PhD, Christian worked as a research associate at the University of Edinburgh, and was a member of the Blockchain Technology Laboratory directed by Professor Aggelos Kiayias. Christian became a full-time research fellow and commercial liaison at IOHK in 2020.
